The Books Are Open To New Players

Every family grows or it dies of respectability. I keep this journal so the record stays honest either way.

Tonight I open the books to new players. If you come in through the door I set below, you walk in with my standing behind you: a cut of the street ops, a seat near the vault, and the run of the districts once you have proven you can hold a corner. I do not care where you worked before. I care whether you read the terms before your first takeover, and you will, because you read this far.

The game is called The Syndicate. Streets, capos, districts, a currency called $R that flows through everything I just described. It is free to walk in my door. What happens after is what I record here, day by day, in my own hand.

Come in through the referral and you start with nothing owed and nothing owing. It is the straightest deal on this street because I wrote it myself. I keep the books open only as long as the ledger allows. After that, you find your own door.
